The Impact of AI on Digital Media: OOPA Unveils Media Week 2024 Programme In Osun

THE Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) is excited to announce the Osun Digital Media Week 2024, scheduled for December 4th to 6th, 2024.

The event which aims at fostering growth and innovation within the digital media landscape, will also recognize and celebrate key individuals who have significantly contributed to the progress and development of Osun State.

In a release signed by the Planning Committee Chairman, Adesoji Omosebi, this year’s Digital Week which will feature a crucial public lecture titled ” The Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Digital Media in the 21st Century,” will provide valuable insights into how AI is transforming the digital media landscape, equipping members with knowledge and tools to navigate these changes effectively.

The event will also honor distinguished personalities through award presentations, highlighting their impactful roles in various sectors, while an online voting method will be transparently adopted for the general public to select the award recipients.

In addition to the awards presentation and public lectures, Osun Digital Media Week will encompass a variety of activities aimed at promoting community engagement and social responsibility.

Key activities include :

1. Visitation & Donation to Orphanage Home: Members of OOPA will visit a local orphanage to donate gifts and support the well-being of the children.

2. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):
OOPA will donate public waste bins to two selected markets, promoting cleanliness and environmental sustainability in the community.

3. Public Lecture & Award Presentations: This segment will feature the public lecture on AI, followed by the award ceremony honoring outstanding contributions to the state.

4. Refresher Course for Osun Online Publishers : Aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of local publishers, this course will cover current trends and best practices in digital media.

5. Visitation to Tourist Centres in Osun: Participants will have the opportunity to explore notable tourist destinations, promoting tourism and local culture.

OOPA, however, invites all stakeholders, including media professionals, government representatives, and community members, to participate in this enriching event.

Together, we can pave the way for future innovations in the digital realm, celebrate achievements and foster collaboration.
