News Update
In retaliation to what it said were months of attacks, Israeli army has carried out strikes on military targets in Iran.
VAM News reports that on Oct. 1, Iran launched nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel.
After the attack, Israel vowed it would make Iran “pay”.
Also, President Joe Biden said the United States was “fully supportive” of Israel after the missile attack, adding that he would discuss a response with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to sources, Israel strikes appear limited to military sites and not Iranian nuclear facilities or oil fields.
Around 11 p.m. ET, the IDF said it completed its strikes and its “mission was fulfilled.” Its aircraft hit missile manufacturing facilities, as well as surface-to-air missile arrays, the IDF said.
Iran’s military confirmed that Israeli strikes targeted military bases in the provinces of Ilam, Khuzestan and Tehran, and had caused “limited damage”.
