… Corps arrest suspected criminals

THE Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Dr Omoyele Isaac Adekunle, has Vowed zero tolerance for Crime in the nooks and crannies of the state, while it has arrested suspects for various alleged crimes.

The Osun Amotekun boss gave the assurance while parading the suspects before newsmen at the corps headquarters in Osogbo, state capital on Tuesday.

Adekunle said that the suspects were arrested for offences including alleged shop breakers, phone snatchers, POS Terminals attackers, burglary and stealing, Motorcycle theft and Goat stealing.

He said all arrested suspects will be transferred to the appropriate authority for prosecution and vowed to follow up.

The Amotekun Corps Commander said that the corps would not relent in its efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.

He also said that, the Governor Ademola Adeleke’s led administration in Osun was resolute in its determination to ensure that investors, residents and commuters moved about freely in the state without apprehension of attacks by hoodlums.

According to Adekunle, “We want to reassure the people of Osun State that Amotekun is intact in the entire state and we will continue our 24-hour patrol.

“We shall continue to track all criminals from the town to Forest reserves and ensure that travellers are not molested. “I am reassuring the general public that my leadership would minimize crime and optimize resources available, ensure collaboration with other security agencies and the public to maintain peace and order during this ember months all over Osun State” Osun Amotekun boss said.

The Osun Amotekun Commander who warned criminal minded people to stay away from Osun, said that he was determined to ensure swift responses to distress calls by residents of the state. He called on the people of Osun to always supply credible information to the Corps to ensure a crime free environment.
