Actress Sharon Okpamen dies suddenly after childbirth

Nollywood actress, Sharon Okpamen, died on Sunday.

The movie producer passed on almost one month after delivering her second child.

The sad news was confirmed by Sharon’s colleague, Stanley Ontop, in a post on his Instagram account on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

Ontop wrote: “Nollywood Actor and Producer Sharon Okpamen has unfortunately passed on.

“It’s a sad day for Nollywood & the Edo entertainment industry. Sharon, who was a filmmaker, actress, entrepreneur & humanitarian, has left a significant void in the industry.

“May her soul rest in perfect peace, Amen @sharonokpamen.”

On July 31, Sharon announced the birth of her second child on her Facebook page.

She went into a coma after the childbirth and eventually died.
