Tinubu Aide, Asefon Visits REA MD, Seeks Stable Power Supply Across Campuses In Nigeria

Voice Air Media, News Update

Over the week, the Senior Special Assistant on student engagements to President Bola Tinubu, paid a working visit to a dynamic young and vibrant Managing Director(MD) of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) to discuss how our campuses can be electrified and powered with solar energy, as well as how to provide transformers to host communities where our institutions are located. The visit was indeed enlightening.

The MD shared with us the projects they have completed in some of our campuses across the six geopolitical zones, as well as the ongoing mega projects in other campuses. He attributed these efforts to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to renewing the hope of Nigerian students by providing 24-hour uninterrupted power supply to our campuses.

The MD emphasized that a series of interventions are underway to ensure stable electricity supply to our institutions. He also noted that no president has ever given as much support and attention to institutional power supply as President Tinubu.

He shared his background, mentioning that he was working on a project with the World Bank when the Minister of Power recognized his excellent work and recommended him to the President as the MD of REA.

The MD promised to collaborate with heads of institutions and state governments to support our host communities in need of their assistance.

We are indeed honored for the expression of readiness to collaborate with our office to see Nigerian student smiles.

Signed.
Hon Sunday Asefon
Senior special assistant to President.
