24-Hour Curfew Imposed In Borno

THE Borno State Commissioner for Information and Internal Security Usman Tar says the state government is doing all it can to ensure law and order is maintained in the state following ongoing protests against economic hardship in Borno State.

In repose to this, the state has imposed a 24 hour curfew.

Commissioner explained that the curfew became necessary after the peaceful protest was infiltrated and hijacked by hoodlums.

He assured that the curfew will be lifted as soon as the situation returns to normal and stability is restored.
