A personnel of the Osun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, was on Friday injured in a hit and run accident.
The accident, VAM News gathered, occurred near the Osun Government Secretariat, Abere, along the Gbongan-Osogbo Road.
The driver of the vehicle was said to be at top speed when FRSC personnel at a roadblock waved him to stop.
However, the driver travelling in a Lexus Jeep, did not stop and it was reported that he hit the FRSC officer and dragged him along the road until the victim fell off the vehicle.
When contacted, the Osun FRSC Sector Commander, Inyang Umoh, confirmed the incident.
Umoh revealed that the injured officer was in stable condition.

“The officer is in stable condition. We are making efforts to get the driver of the vehicle. He has not been arrested yet,” he stated.
