Gov Adeleke, Mimiko, Makinde, Jegede meet, vow to win Ondo Guber with Agboola

THE People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) Candidate in the scheduled November 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo state, H.E, Agboola Alfred Ajayi, has registered his unfettered optimism to win the election, following what he described as the support of the people and the tremendous support displayed so far by party leaders towards his ambition.

Ajayi, while fielding questions from newsmen, after a PDP Southwest Stakeholders meeting which held at the Agodi, Ibadan, office of the Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, on Monday, said the party leaders have shown effective leadership, adding that other party members have followed their path towards ensuring victory in the Ondo state governorship election.

The PDP candidate while appreciating the leaders said ” our leaders in the Southwest have really shown leadership, they are leading the way and we are following.

“They have shown massive support, especially the two South west governors. Their support have been tremendous towards the forthcoming election in Ondo. Our leaders at the National level too have shown tremendous support. “To the glory of God, PDP family in Ondo is one and that’s obvious with the attendance at the stakeholders meeting. I am positive that the Alagbaka government house is for us to occupy in November because with this unified house, our victory is sure”

Shedding light on the reason for the Ibadan Monday meeting, governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke said the meeting was basically to “congratulate our candidate in the approaching governorship election in Ondo state and deliberate on PDP affair in the state.

“The primary election went well and PDP was able to showcase it’s democratic nature to the people. “The meeting also kicked started a reconciliatory move, to unite people who may be aggrieved following the outcome of the primary election and we have achieved so much in that direction in the course of the meeting.

“Now our leader and former governor of Ondo State , Dr Olusegun Mimiko and other leaders of the state, on getting back home, will meet with everybody and later invite me and my brother , Governor Seyi Makinde to Akure and see how to forge ahead from there to ensure we win the November election”

On his part, the host Governor, Seyi Makinde said ” the first step towards success in November is to unify all the tendencies in Ondo state. Once you have a unified PDP in the state, the road to Alagbaka govt house will be smooth.
“We have spoken as one family and our candidate has been able to key into that process.

“People should expect a very strong showing from the PDP. To the glory of God, since this kind of meeting could hold, and our south west leaders are staying behind our candidate in Ondo State, it’s a very strong signal to the present occupier of the Ondo state government house.

“PDP is coming, and it will happen” Makinde said.
