Five travellers have lost their lives in a lone fatal accident on Benin-Ore-Lagos Expressway on Saturday.
The Ondo State Police Spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami confirmed this to newsmen, saying some persons were also injured in the accident.

LONE FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT ALONG LAGOS – ORE ROAD
Today at about 04:30pm, around Akinfosile area along Ore/Lagos express way, the Police received report that a Toyota Hiace Bus with Reg No FKG 405 FX from Akure enroute Lagos while on the way summersaulted and entered into the bush.
The Police have moved injured victims to the nearest hospital ( Grace of God Hospital) while the dead have been moved to the mortuary of the same hospital.
Investigation is on going to unravel the cause of the accident while effort is on to contact the families of the passengers involved in the accident. Meanwhile, members of the public are advised to reach out to their relatives who left for Lagos from Akure this morning to check on them to ascertain their status and those in doubt of the whereabouts of their families should reach out to the police at Igbotako Division through this phone no 07033285708 for more information,” SP.
