‘Dollar Must Fall’: Nigerian Cleric Says Loud Prayers, Commands Exchange Rate to Crash

VOICE AIR MEDIA, VAM News Update

Amidst the uncertainty of Nigeria’s forex issues, Pastor Chibuize sparks a buzz during a unique prayer session where he commanded the Dollar to fall in favour of the Naira.

In a video circulating online, the pastor is seen addressing his congregation, however, a particular prayer of his drew widespread attention and confusion among netizens.

Pastor sparks a buzz as he prays for ‘Dollar to crash against Naira’
During the prayer, the pastor fervently prayed against the fluctuation of the Dollar against the Naira, urging for stability in Nigeria’s money while commanding the foreign currency to crash.

“I stand in my office as a prophet, right now one dollar is 1,800 naira or whatever; now hear me dollar, my name is Chibueze Ozeokieze, I operate from heaven. Dollar hear my voice, you’ll die in the name of Jesus Christ. The suffering is too much; I cannot be here as a prophet and my people will be suffering. Dollar crash, dollar fail,” he prayed fervently while his congregation echoed ‘amen.’

However, many netizens couldn’t overlook the fact that the current exchange rate is influenced by economic factors rather than spiritual intervention. Many suggest that government intervention would be necessary to regulate it instead.

Some critics also condemned the pastor’s congregants for their perceived naivety in agreeing with the prayer.
