Voice Air Media, VAM News Update

President Bola Tinubu is set to confer national honours on the Nigeria national football team.

This announcement was made in a Twitter post by Olusegun Dada, Special Assistant to the President on social media on Tuesday.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu awards all members of Team Nigeria and @NGSuperEagles, the Member of the Order of Niger (MON),” the tweet read.

He added that Tinubu appreciated the players and the entire team Nigeria for their resilience and for lifting the spirit of the nation in the recently completed AFCON, saying it’s not easy to absolve a loss but the Super Eagles demonstrated Sportsmanship and can do attitude.

Though the Super Eagles failed to add to their three AFCON titles after Ivory Coast defeated Nigeria to win the tournament, many Nigerians have continued to appreciate them for reaching the final.
