Gunmen strike again, kidnap 16 residents in Kogo

VOICE AIR MEDIA, News Update

Armed bandits on Thursday raided Kogo in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State, abducting 16 residents, including children, women, and men.

The attack, described as “meticulously planned” by a local source, happened around 8:20pm, leaving villagers caught off guard.

“The assailants infiltrated the community quietly, likely parking their motorcycles at a distance to avoid detection,” the source revealed.

“Without causing much alarm, they targeted a specific residence and abducted 16 people, including children, women, and men.”

The source added that the community is now grappling with deep concern for the safety of their kidnapped neighbours and the overall security of the area.

Residents expressed their anxieties to DAILY POST, as they await updates on the situation.

Spokesperson for the Katsina Police Command, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, promised to confirm the incident from appropriate quarters.

However, at the time of publishing, no official confirmation or further information has been released by the state government of relevant authorities.
