ICAN Names Fedpoly Ado Alumni As New Registar

Nigeria’s ace account body, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria has appointed Dr Musibau Olasunkanmi as its new Registrar/Chief Executive.

ICAN disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

It stated that Olasunkanmi’s appointment comes following the approval of the Governing Council of the Institute at its December 15, 2023 meeting.

The professional accountants’ body in Nigeria noted that Olasunkanmi’s appointment is strategic and will take the country’s account profession to a greater height.

On Thursday, Olasunkanmi assumed the Registrar/Chief Executive role, succeeding Mr Mukaila Lawal, the Acting Registrar/Chief Executive, who will retire on March 1.

His educational qualifications include a PhD in Forensic Accounting & Audit from Charisma University, Turks and Caicos Island, UK; an M.Sc. in Accounting from Afe Babalola University; an MBA from the University of Lagos; a B.Sc. in Accounting from Adekunle Ajasin University; and an HND in Accounting from the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti.
