THE Osun Amotekun Anti-Cultism Squad in a joint operation with Osun Police Anti-Cultism units and the Hunters foiled the armed robbery attacks on Dangote Integrated Steel Rolling Mills Osogbo at midnight on Monday.
The Amotekun Anti-Cultism Squad received a distress call from the CSO of the company at 3 am that a group of Armed Robbers had invaded the company to steal and the Amotekun operatives swung into action immediately and moved to the scene of the attack with the police Anti-Cultism Squad when the Robbers sited the Security men they opened fire on them, five of the suspected Armed Robbers were arrested with bullets wounds while three Robbers dead on the spot due to an injury sustained during the gun duel.
The suspects arrested were Adepoju Abdulateef, 18 years, Rasheed Hammed, 20 years, Liadi Afeez, 20 years, Wasiu Sodiq, 21 years, Rabiu Lekan, 28 years who come from Oke-Baale Osogbo while exhibit recovered from them are One Single Barrel with Four Expended Shell and One Itel Phone.
Reacting to the incident, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi applaud the operatives of Amotekun, Police, and Hunters for a job well done, he asserted that Amotekun Anti-Cultism Squad received a distress call from the CSO of Dangote Integrated Steel Rolling Mills that some Armed Robbers had invaded the company at around 3 am Monday midnight, the operative swung into action immediately in a joint operation with the Police Anti-Cultism Unit and Hunters moved to the scene of the incident, the robbers opened fire on them when sited, the robbers were later overpowered as five of robbers were arrested while three of the robbers dead on the spot due to an injury sustained during the gun duel.
The corpses of the Three Armed Robbers were deposited at Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo while the remaining Five suspects who sustained injury during the gun duel were receiving treatment.
The suspects will be transferred to the police for discreet investigation and prosecution.
