Seven Dead, One Injured As Commercial Bus Rams Into Tricycle In Osogbo

VOICE AIR MEDIA has confirmed that a road traffic crash has occurred at the front of WOCDIF Events Centre, Ring Road, Osogbo, on Tuesday morning.

The accident involved a blue coloured commercial mazda BUS with number plate registration RBC15 ZN; a yellow colour TVS Commercial Tricycle with registered number plate RLG 898 QE and a green colour commercial Bajaj Boxer motorcycle.

This newspaper gathered that seven people were killed in the multiple road accident.

In a statement issued by the State spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Agnes Ogungbemi the cause of the accident was attributed to tyre bust which led to loss of control by an upcoming vehicle which rammed on a tricycle conveying the victims.

According to her, four of the victims died on the spot and three out of the injured four persons taken to Osun State University Teaching Hospital later died at the Hospital.

The vehicles involved have been taken to Dugbe Police Station.
