NANS Congratulates Chief James Ume As The Publisher Of Whistler Newspaper Receives Gani Fawehinmi Award

THE Senate President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Senator Akinteye Babatunde Afeez, has specially congratulated CHIEF JAMES UME on the AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING IMPACT.

CHIEF JAMES UME, Who is the CHAIRMAN/PUBLISHER Of THE WHISTLER NEWSPAPER bagged the prestigious Gani Fawehinmi Award For Outstanding Impact.

NANS in his statement said, “this is long overdue. Your selfless generosity and unequivocal empathy towards the masses are a testament to the fact that you deserve this glorious award.”

“We all know that the Gani Fawehinmi Award, organized by the Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA Resource Centre), only celebrates individuals who have made remarkable contributions to society. Therefore for you to be able to scale through all the tedious rounds despite the calibre and personality of the Giants in your category has proven beyond reasonable doubt that you’re doing what you’re doing in a distinct and unique manner. I celebrate you sir.”

“Sir, your philanthropy via your wonderful Unubiko Foundation and her initiatives including awarding scholarships to indigent students at all levels, donating laptops and books to students at all levels, providing transformers for rural electrification, financing boreholes to communities, empowering widows and supporting healthcare in Abia State and beyond has made your contribution to education, community development, and humanitarian causes have significant and exceptional impact in your community and state and these have earned you recognition at different times. You’re doing well sir.”

“Distinguished sir, my little appeal is that you keep up the good work as you continue to impact more lives and I pray that Almighty God shall continue to bless you and also continue to make you a blessing to others. I must also say that Nigeria awaits emphatic and resourceful leaders like you to serve in political positions and take her out of the present shambles she finds herself.
