N50m bounty placed on Finance Director’s killers in Ogun

THE Ogun State Government has declared a reward of N50 million for any individual who could provide information leading to the apprehension of those responsible for the killing of Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi, the former Director of Finance and Administration at Governor Dapo Abiodun’s office.

Oyekanmi, aged 51, was fatally shot by unidentified gunmen on November 29 at the Kuto Flyover Bridge in Abeokuta.

In an official statement, the government assured that information provided would be handled with the utmost confidentiality.

“The Ogun State Government has announced a reward of fifty (50) million naira for anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the killers of the state’s Director of Finance and Administration (DFA), Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi, on 29th November, 2023 in Abeokuta, it read.

Oyekanmi, along with two others, was confronted by armed assailants while on his way back to the Governor’s Office, carrying money reportedly withdrawn from two commercial banks in the Abeokuta metropolis.
