Edo: Deputy Governor Bag Endorsement for 2024 Governorship Election

VOICE AIR MEDIA News Update

Kinsmen of Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, have thrown their weight behind his gubernatorial aspirations, endorsing him to run for the 2024 governorship election.

The endorsement came during a reception held in Shaibu’s honour upon his arrival at the ward meeting of PDP Ward 11, Etsako West Local Government Area.

In his speech, Igbafe Agbonoga, the Ward Chairman, said the deputy governor has widespread support among his people, party members, and the general populace.

“We have unanimously agreed that Philip Shaibu must run for the 2024 governorship election,” Agbonoga declared. “We are confident that he will make a significant difference if elected as the next governor of our state.”

Agbonoga’s assertion stems from Shaibu’s commendable performance during his tenure as a member of both the Edo State House of Assembly and the National Assembly, the ward chairman said.

“The Ward 11 PDP members and leadership, after carefully evaluating the deputy governor’s credentials and capabilities, have decided to endorse and support him to run and win the Edo 2024 governorship election,” Agbonoga stated. “This decision was made following thorough consultations with our party members across the entire Ward 11 of PDP, Estako West.”

He further expressed the group’s unwavering belief in Shaibu’s ability to lead the state effectively.

“As we approach the gubernatorial election in a few months, we require not just any politician but a leader with the state’s best interests at heart and the necessary experience,” Agbonoga added.
