OSSIEC Nomination: Osun APP congratulates Abioye, urges him to remain focused

THE Action Peoples Party (APP) Osun State Chapter through her State Chairman, Comrade Odesola Oluseye while addressing some political stakeholders in Osogbo today Friday 10th November, 2023 dissociates himself and his party (APP) from the press statement made by IPAC Osun State Chapter and also condemned the same.

While speaking in Osogbo today, he commended the ADELEKE’s government for his vision and commitment to take Osun State to an enviable height among other states of the federation. He also gave kudos to Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke for nominating Barrister Hashim Abioye as the OSSIEC Chairman. He said in his statement that the choice of Barrister Hashim Abioye is divine and it shows the determination of the present administration in Osun State to put a square peg in a square hole. He also stated that it is only the enemy of this state that will see the appointment and the readiness of the present administration to conduct acceptable local government election as against yes or no election from a different view. “I vividly recollected how Barrister Hashim Abioye single-handedly fought the leadership of the dissolved OSSIEC for reason of violating the law which led to voiding the Yes/No Local Government election conducted by the APC under Oyetola. Therefore Abioye’s choice by Governor Adeleke is to put the OSSIEC in safe hands with rule of law as the guiding principle”.

While reacting to the press conference made by IPAC Osun State Chapter today where the body condemned the appointment of Barrister Hashim Abioye as the OSSIEC Chairman, the Action Peoples Party Osun State Chairman Comrade Odesola Oluseye said that he was not aware of any press conference to be held by IPAC and therefore distance himself from it and also said that the issues raised in the press conference by IPAC are mere imagination of some unscrupulous element within the body and it lacks substance. He stated that Barrister Hashim Abioye is a core professional and a seasoned technocrat who knows his onions without any question mark on his integrity, capacity and competence. He added that Abioye has handled many cases in the past even for some other political parties aside the PDP, in pursuit of Justice and rule of law.

He appealed to other political stakeholders in the state to support the government of Senator Ademola Adeleke because it’s the most citizen friendly in the history of Osun State and it is government that is committed to fulfilling its electoral promises.

Furthermore, he congratulated Barrister Hashim Abioye on nomination and new appointment while also advising him to be focused on his new job and not allow some town criers to distract him from his goal, so as justify the confidence reposed in him by Governor Adeleke, statement reads.
