ImoDecides2023: Labour Party candidate Achonu wins polling unit

THE governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in in Imo State, Athan Achonu, has won his polling unit with a wide margin despite the low turnout in the ongoing election.

Of the 734 registered voters in the polling unit where Achonu cast his ballot, 216 accredited voters participated.

The polling unit of the LP candidate is located in Umunumo hamlet in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area.

Achonu received 197 votes, whereas the incumbent governor, All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Hope Uzodinma, got only 16 votes. There were three reported invalid votes.
