As part of efforts to further strengthen the security at the ports across the country, Adegboyega Oyetola, the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, on Thursday held a crucial meeting with the Acting Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi in Abuja.

Oyetola who played a host on the NCS’ boss in his office, said the collaborative efforts would further help to optimize efficiency, enhance productivity and revenue generation.

Recall that the Minister had recently disclosed his Ministry’s readiness to partner NCS in a bid to decongest ports for smooth operations, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Oyetola made the disclosure in Lagos, during his facilities tours and visits to some of the departments and agencies under his Ministry.

According to Oyetola, the meeting with the NCS’ boss would help to secure the cooperation and support of the Service.

“In furtherance of our commitment to optimizing efficiency and ensuring adequate security at our ports, we met with the acting Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, to secure the cooperation and support of the Service in this crucial endeavour’, Oyetola said.
