In pursuit of its objective of supporting the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the “South West Agenda’23 for Asiwaju”, a political wing within the All Progressives Congress, (APC), has commenced distribution of palliative to Nigerians, to cushion the effects of fuel Subsidy removal.

SWAGA’23 officially flagged off the distribution of the trailer load of 600 bag of rice to Osun residents, today, Tuesday September 12th, the programme held at the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign office in Osogbo, Osun state capital.

At the event, the palliative was said to be personal contributions of some members of SWAGA, a political group that rallied support for President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 Presidential Campaign.

Speaking about the donation, the National chairman, SWAGA’23 Senator Adedayo Adeyeye told the gathering that the palliative was part of many things they would benefit from the group for their support to the President throughout the campaign period.

In Senator Adeyeye’s word; “We thank you all, we started SWAGA over 3 years ago, we came to you, remain focused and steadfast and you voted Asiwaju. Asiwaju is now the president.

“This (palliative) is just a tip of the iceberg of what is coming in the future. I thank you all for believing in this project and for enduring all the sacrifice.”

Reacting to the issue of economy, Senator Adeyeye assured the people that President Tinubu has the capacity and capability to lead the country out of the present conundrum, saying better days are near.

According to him, “We told you that he’s (President Tinubu) capable and will reposition Nigeria. He has been doing it and we pray God for his success. It can be a bit tough now, things will come good very soon. He has started the rebuilding and he will succeed.”

Addressing the people at the venue, the Osun State Coordinator, SWAGA’23, Hon. Ayo Omidiran noted that the palliative was not only for members of the group or the party but for all to benefit.
