Adeleke Okays Payment Of Terminal Benefits For Osun Deceased Pensioners

THE Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has approved payment of terminal benefits for deceased pensioners of Primary school teachers and Local Government Staff Pensioners in the state.

A statement issued by the Permanent Secretary, Local Government Staff Pension Bureau, Mr Akibu Ibrahim on Monday, told the relatives of the deceased to come the Local Government Staff Pension Bureau Office to check their names for payment.

Part of the statement reads, “This is to inform the general public that the Governor of Osun State, Sen. Ademola Adeleke has approved almost Four hundred million naira to 670 deceased who were retirees under the old pension scheme, that are Local Government Staff and Primary school teachers.

“Sequel to this, the affected deceased relatives are to visit the Local Government Staff Pension Bureau for proper documentation and payment.”

The statement recalled Adeleke’s promise not to take with levity the welfare of the Osun people, said that informed his resolve to continue payment of the inherited debt, as well as offsetting the backlog of workers’ salaries and pensions.

It further assured that Adeleke’s administration would remain focused and committed to offsetting all outstanding salaries and pensions owed retirees in the state.
