Imo Agog as NNPP Gov’ship Candidate, Odunzeh Storms Orlu, Promises To Restore Peace

•As He Sponsors Eziachi Iri-ji Festival As Orlu Stakeholders Endorsed His Ambition

IMO state was on friday, 1st of September 2023 electrified as the Governorship Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Hon. Uche Ben Odunzeh arrived the state to attend the new yam festival (IRI-JI) of Eziachi kingdom in orlu LGA.

The Governorship hopeful who arrived at the Sam Mbakwe international cargo airport yesterday in owerri at the noon time was welcomed by thousands of supporters with dancing instrument proceeded to orlu to join his kindreds in the name yam festival.

At the venue, he was given a special recognition with accompanying prayers concerning his aspiration.

Speaking to the gathering, he congratulated them on a successful harvest time and decried the worsening security challenges in the state and promised that his administration will restore peace in the state.

“It is unfortunate that Imo state today has become a hotbed for all sundry of insecurity issues, people no longer sleep with their two eyes closed but with your support we will restore peace in orlu”

“My people there’s hope and an end to your cries, a time of rejoicing is coming because sorrowing may endure for a night but joy cometh on the morning, our morning has come” he stated.

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Governorship hopeful in imo state, Hon. Ben Odunzeh has sponsored the 2023 new yam festival (iriji) of the Eziachi kingdom leading to his endorsement by the orlu stakeholders

The new yam festival was held yesterday Friday in the presence of His Royal Majesty Mike pope(Ezedurunobi iv of Eziachi kingdom) and High Chief Austin Nwaoha Odunzeh

Other dignitaries in attendance are , member Representing orlu LGA in the Imo state house of Assembly, Hon. Ik ihezuo, a respected APC Chieftain, Hon. Nnamdi Ihezue, Hon Uche Nwadike and High chief Barth Ezenuka.

The business tycoon turned politician who spoke in a joyous tune thanked his people for upholding their tradition and prayed for God’s blessings on the community.

Equally, he commended them for their prayers and endorsement of his candidacy and further reiterated that he will not disappoint them if elected as the governor of the state.

He promised to always identify with them saying that Eziachi occupies an important place in his mind and therefore will do everything to promote the kingdom.

He encouraged the young people to shun nefarious activities and continuing to be good ambassadors of the kingdom in their various endeavors.
