Nigerian man allegedly shoots, kills wife in U.S.

A US-based Nigerian man, Hassan Teddy Adeyemo, has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing his wife in east Orange County, Florida.

According to an official statement released by the Sheriff’s Office, police officers were dispatched to Taxiway Circle, which is a residential area near the Conway neighborhood, around 7:20PM on Saturday, August 27.

Upon their arrival, they found Teddy’s 43-year-old wife, Nanchin Hassan Adeyemo, who had sustained gunshot wounds.

She was subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital, where she sadly succumbed to her injuries.

Investigators have identified Teddy as the prime suspect in the case, and he has been charged with first-degree murder.

However, no further information regarding the incident was provided by the Sheriff’s Office, except for acknowledging that the incident was “domestic in nature.”

Hassan Adeyemo is currently in custody at the Orange County Jail, with no bail granted.

In other news, the designer of the Nigerian flag Pa Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi has passed away at the age of 87.

According to his family, Pa Akinkunmi passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, August 29, after a brief illness.

One of his children took to Facebook to announce his tragic demise.

“Life is indeed transient; I can say boldly that you live a life with a landmark. Continue to rest, my father! Pa Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi (O.F.R.): Great Man has gone.”
