BREAKING: Shock As Plane Crashes in Lagos capital

There is tension in Lagos capital, Ikeja, Oba Akran, as an Helicopter crashed in the area and went into flames on Tuesday afternoon.

According to report, the aircraft cannot be easily identified, but eyewitness says the fate of the passengers was yet to be known.

The report added the incident happened on the busy road of the Oba Akran, close to a fuel station opposite a bank.

Meanwhile, the Spokesman for the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), Tunji Oketunbi, confirmed the development.

Also, an official of the The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said that the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said two persons were onboard.

NEMA Zonal Coordinator for South-West, Ibrahim Farinloye, on the Agency’s official WhatsApp platform said though the identity of the operator of the helicopter was yet unknown, both men were rescued alive.

First responders from NEMA, LASEMA and investigators from the NSIB have arrived the scene.
