The Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi on Thursday directed community Masjid Imams to offer special prayers for rains on Friday.
This is due to the absence of rain fall in Borno State for a long time.
A tweet by NTA News on Thursday said: “Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi directs Friday prayer and community Masjid Imams to offer special prayers for rains.”
He also directed the District District, village and Ward Heads statewide on mobilisation to support the needy and checking immorality and social vices in the society.
