Members of the House of Representatives on Wednesday rejected clarion calls to suspend the recent increase in the pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS) from N537 to N617 per litre.
The resolution on the motion seeking is coming about six days after the approval of N70 billion palliative for National Assembly members out of the proposed N500 billion palliative to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal.
However, the lawmakers resolved to set up an Ad-hoc Committee to be drawn from six geopolitical zones of the Federation.
