1,500 applications received from Nigerians in two months – Guinness World Record opens up

Guinness World Records has stated that they had received over 1,500 applications from Nigerians in the past two months.

After chef Hilda Baci broke the record for the longest cooking marathon of an individual a few months ago. many Nigerians have jumped on the thread and applied for various record-breaking activities.

There has been a series of marathon attempts to break one record or the other. There have been longest-reading marathons, kissing marathons, sex marathons, cooking marathons, massaging marathons, and many more.

According to reports, Guinness World Records said that since Hilda Baci’s record, there has been an increase in the number of would-be record breakers from Nigeria, with 1500 applications received.

GWR stated;

“The attention and excitement that Hilda Baci’s cooking marathon applications from Nigeria, particularly for marathon records.”
