Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has announced the imposition of a 24-hour curfew on the Mangu Local Government Area due to recent attacks that resulted in the loss of lives and property.
According to a statement signed by Mr Gyang Bere, the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor of Plateau State, the curfew was imposed on the entire Local Government Area in consultation with the State Security Council, with the aim of restoring law and order.
As a result, all movements within the Local Government Area have been prohibited until further notice, except for security personnel and individuals performing essential duties.
The security agencies have been directed to ensure strict enforcement of the curfew.
Governor Mutfwang has reassured the people that the government is working tirelessly to restore peace and security in the state.
