Generator Fume Allegedly Kills 2 Osun Poly Students, 2 Hospitalized

Two Students of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, who were having an overnight pre-birthday party on Thursday, July 6, 2023, have been reported dead, Voice Air Media reports.

The victims who were said to have gotten intoxicated during the felicitation were killed by the fume of the generator which served their apartment and penetrated through the door entrance which they left open.

According to the report, the incident was said to have occurred around Yakoyo, a popular area in the Iree Community, in which two other victims who are indigenes of the community have been hospitalized while the deceased’s were recognized to be students from the Institution’s Koko Campus.

However, a press statement received by this Newspaper indicates that the Osun state polytechnic Iree Students’ union government announced a Lecture-free day for the school in other to look into the occurrence cautiously.

Meanwhile, the name of the victims is yet to be unveiled at the time of filling this report.
