Bayelsa Loses Ex-Governor

A former acting governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Nestor Binabo is reportedly dead.

The sad news was made public by his son, Mr Binabo Momos who posted via his WhatsApp status, “I thought you’ll pull through, Dad. But God knows best. He stated.

Another source close to the ex-governor’s family said that Mr Nestor who had been battling with an ailment over a year died in an undisclosed hospital in Abuja at about 4.00am on Thursday, 29th of June.

The Nigeria politician and former classroom teacher briefly served as the acting governor between 27th January 2012 to 14th February 2012.

He also served as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Until his death, Mr Binabo K. Nestor was a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
