Amotekun nabs 27-yr-old Resident ​in Osun over possession of illegal firearms

The Operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps have arrested a young man, Oyelade Lukman, 27 years for having illegal firearms in his possession in Ajijola Anabi Area, Ede, Osun State.

He was apprehended after a complaint was lodged against him by the residents of the area and the operatives of Amotekun swung into action and arrested him with firearms.

The firearms found in his possession are Two long barrels guns, One locally Iron Made Revolver 7 rounds barrels gun cut to size, 1 locally Revolver, 4 rounds barrel gun cut to size, and 1 locally iron-made double barrel gun cut to size.

Confirming the arrests, the Corps Commander of Osun Amotekun Corps, Brig. Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi said the suspect was arrested in the middle of the night after a complaint was lodged against him by the residents of the area for having firearms and partaking in illegal activities in the area and the operatives of Amotekun swung into action immediately and arrested him with illegal firearms

During the cross-examination, “the suspect confessed of perpetrating the act, and the firearms were kept in his possession by Taye Fumble a notorious thug in Ede”.Adewinmbi said.

The suspect has been handed over to the Police for subsequent Investigation and interrogation.
