EKITI NUT Honors AJONI LCDA Boss, OGUNGBEMI With Award Over His Outstanding Performance

THE Leadership of Nigerian Union of Teachers(NUT), has conferred Award of Excellence on the Chairman of Ajoni Local Council Development Area, Prince Michael Ogungbemi, in recognition of his superlative services for improved educational and infrastructural development of the people at the grassroots.

The NUT bestowed the award on the council boss, on Tuesday, May 22, 2023, at a well -attended event organised by state and local government executives of NUT accross Ekiti and state leadership of the union and held in its headquarters in Ado Ekiti.

The teachers” body said it garlanded Ogungbemi with the title, in recognition of Ogungbemi’s passionate love, commitment and selfless services as the Executive Chairman, especially his immense contributions to Educational Development in the council and pragmatic approach to security of lives and property of his subjects.

Showering encomiums on Ogungbemi at the event, the State NUT chairman, Comr Emmanuel Oke, described the Council Chairman as an outstanding performer, a goal getter and a pillar of support for Education in his LCDA and the state at large.

The NUT boss applauded Ogungbemi’s courage in tackling insecurity and restored peace to the beleaguered council that has been in the throes of kidnapping and killings in recent time.

Praising the NUT for counting him worthy of being garlanded with the award, Prince Ogungbemi, said the award would spur him to do more for humanity.

He, therefore, appreciated the Governor of Ekiti state, Hon. Biodun Oyebanji , for providing enabling environment to spur productive activities and radical development at the third tier of government.
