Buhari Seeks Senate Approval To Borrow $800m For NSSN Programme

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday urged the Senate to approve a new loan request of $800million.

It was gathered that the President Buhari, in a letter read by Senate President Ahmad Lawan at plenary, said the loan would be utilised to scale up the National Social Safety Net Programme.

He added that the loan would be sourced from the World Bank.

Recall that in another letter, the president transmitted a Bill for the establishment of the Nigeria Police Force College Training School and Institution, for consideration and approval by the Senate
