THE convener of Diaspora Support group for Asiwaju North America, Folasade Oluomo emerged as the Deputy National Women Leader of APC-USA.
Folasade Oluomo, who is also the organizer of the gathering of lovers of Asiwaju and presentation of awards; an event that is scheduled to be holding in Abuja by May 30, 2023 where Ooni Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR Ojaja11, Ooni of Ife is expected to be the royal father of the day.
In an election of the all progressive congress, USA chapter which was keenly contested about 4 hours ago at the United State of America, the only woman who was at the Pro-Tinubu protest in white house recently advertently won the seat of the Deputy Women Leader with a large margin.
While giving her emergence speech, The Oonirinsa’s ally Folasade Oluomo expressly could not hide her happiness of being elected because the election was keenly contested, free, fair and credible. She used the medium to congratulate all those who emerged at the congress and admonished that collectively, they should all carry out their responsibilities with diligence and dedication. All hands must be on deck to support the incoming administration of Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, she added.
Addressing members of the organization after the elections, Professor Adesegun Labinjo, the APC chairman of USA chapter commended the APC chapter of USA for their pro activeness so far and also noted that the time has come to kick start the development of Nigeria through the diaspora chapters.
