Things To Know About Oba-Ile Day — Oba(Prof.) Adekunle Oyeyemi Reveals, As Osun Monarch Sends Message To Government

VOICE AIR MEDIA News Update

THE Oloba of Oba-Ile, Oba (Prof.) Adekunle Asamu Oyeyemi Tewogbade 1, has revealed the town’s accomplishments and shortcomings as Oba-Ile day celebration for 2023 commenced.

Oba (Prof) Adekunle Oyeyemi

According to His Royal Majesty, while engaging Journalists on Thursday in his palace, stated that “the significance of Oba-Ile day, the Day is derived from the name; Oba-Ile, is unique and rare community in Osun state; “do not judge our town by its size or location.”

While revealing the purpose of celebrating Oba-Ile’s day, the monarch made it known that it is an ancestral party that is scheduled to take place once in a year.

“Our ancestors picked Oba-Ile Day and it is commemorated every year in various ways. This year’s celebration of the day will last for three days. Also, take note that Oba-Ile town, which has its roots in Osun, is the predecessor of other settlements with the same name in other regions of the country. To celebrate, they will all assemble here.”

The Monarch analyzed what each three days scheduled for Oba-Ile Day 2023 signifies as he disclosed the orders of service—Saturday being the day of general celebration.

“We call on all Citizens and friends of Oba-Ile to celebrate with us as the grand finale and fund raising of the 2023 edition of the day will be holding at Aderounmu Grammar school, Oba-Ile on Saturday, 29th April, by 10.00am”

“On this note, that the community is currently building a school in the town.”

MESSAGE TO FEDERAL, STATE GOVERNMENT

The monarch further complains about the State government less contributions to the community’s expansion and development while highlighting the town’s tremendous accomplishments in the area of education, health, security and more.

Again, Oba Adekunle congratulates the governor of Osun state, Senator Ademola Jackson Adeleke, and other elected officials who won in the recently held elections in the state while also offering encouragement to those who did not win.

“As a community, we are not happy. We bought chicken and invested in poultry farming, as the chickens are laying eggs they are sorting it, no egg, no chicks. I call on the Sons & Daughters of the community to come out to be part of governance.”

“Our schools are not in good condition, the roads are bad. I am very proud to say that the state government has never establish a school in Oba Ile, it is the community that owns all the schools in Oba Ile. The only exception is Apostolic church. We do not wait for the government to move on with development of the community before execution. We are therefore looking for federal, state and local government for intervention, and notice on time.

“Congratulations to all who vote and voted for and as well as using this medium, to encourage those who were not voted for.

The Monarch also congratulate the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of swearing in day.

Oba Adekunle, then, encouraged all citizens and residents to continue to cooperate with him, support and pray for a successful tenure as we have no other home called Nigeria.

The Oba-Ile Monarch discusses the community’s distinctiveness and its key industry, placing a strong emphasis on farming.

“Oba-Ile day is reflecting farming. If you even interrogate of Childrens abroad, they would traced back to their origin and reveal farming as the main source of income of most of their parents. We are a great farmers.”
