JAMB fixes new date for 2023 UTME

VOICE AIR MEDIA News Update

THE Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a new date for the commencement of the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME), which will now start on April 25, 2023, instead of April 29, 2023, as earlier scheduled.

The announcement was made by the board’s Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin in Abuja on Sunday.

The board’s rescheduled mock UTME will hold on April 18, 2023, following technical hitches encountered during the March 30 mock exam.

Candidates who were screened but could not take the March 30 mock exam will retake the exam on April 18, while the result of candidates who successfully took the mock exam on March 30 has been released.

The board adjusted the date of the UTME to accommodate some major national assignments and institutions with stable academic calendars to resume as scheduled.

JAMB hopes that no citizen will be denied the opportunity to exercise their civic responsibilities, and the board solicits understanding from all stakeholders as it delivers on its critical mandate.
