Lauretta Onochie Units Results: Group exposes Lauretta NDDC chair’s sabotage against APC

…Orchestrate call for her removal from NDDC Board

THE sabotaging role Lauretta Onoche played during the February 25 Presidential election and March 18 governorship election has been exposed and hence, calls for her removal from the board of the NDDC orchestrated.

This call was made by National Coordinator of Niger Delta Emerging Youths Initiative (NDEYI), Comrade Felix Akpoyibo in an expose’ statement stated that Lauretta Onoche never took the interest of the All Progressives Congress, APC at heart during the elections rather, she went about distributing cash in Dollar currency to her constituents and urging them to vote the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in her units.

“The result of her action gave winning chances to the PDP. But for the loyalty and commitment of party faithful who rebuffed her sabotage, the performance of the APC would have been totally dismal.”

In the release, Akpoyibo noted that Laurreta Onochie is from Onicha-Olona in Aniocha North L.G.A, and as a card carrying member of APC in Ward 4, her voting unit is Unit 8 she was never present while the Delta APC Campaign Organization campaigned for votes in the area.

“During the Presidential election held 25th Feb 2023, the APC polled only 16 votes against the PDP that scored 27, a percentage difference of 13.6 to the advantage of the PDP.”

“Similar performance was repeated in the Senate and House of Reps elections with APC scoring 24, PDP 42 and LP 13 translating to another 21.2 and 25.3 percent difference in favour of PDP respectively.”

“In the Governorship election, but for the resilience and determination of the people, Lauretta Onoche held fast to her avowed resolve to sink the APC ship and the results were : APC 33, PDP 47, LP 4 marking another hurting percentage difference of 21 in favour of the PDP.”

“This is a woman who has no interest for her party, APC except her own selfish interest. She has never sponsored any meeting in her own town of Onicha-Olona.”

“When she came for the Governorship Election she did not cast her vote in her unit, rather she was going round sharing dollars to people, telling them to vote for PDP against her party APC.

“She was accompanied by Dr Iyke Odikpo before they were chased away from the field.

“She has no followers and political class. She is only good in social media blackmailing people, such a person who deliberately sabotaged the winning of her unit does not deserve to be the Chairman of the Board of NDDC, a position made possible for her by the APC, and yet she goes about making unspeakable comments and disparaging the APC in social media.” The group lamented.
