A grandmother identified as Iforiti Oloro, who set her own son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren ablaze in Apomu community, Akure, capital of Ondo State, is dead.
The 75-year-old woman died at the hospital where she was rushed for treatment after her health condition deteriorated.
Recall that the grandmother, who resides with her son in the same house last Tuesday set ablaze her son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren and complained that they starved her of food.
She reportedly set the house ablaze while the family members were asleep, killing two of them, including her son, Victor; wife Racheal while the two children was reported to be in critical condition at the Federal Medical Centre FMC, Owo.
Meanwhile, it was reported that the woman also sustained degrees of burns while carrying out the tragic incident.
A resident who spoke with journalist on condition of anonymity confirmed the death of Mrs Oloro.
Oloro disclosed that the report of Oloro’s death has spread across the community where the saddened incident happened.
She said, “We have just been told now that the woman has given up the ghost at the hospital. The news is everywhere in the community.”
