BREAKING: PDP gets new National Chairman to replace Ayu

THE National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has announced the appointment of new national chairman following the suspension of the embattled Iyorchia Ayu

The party announced the appointment of Umar Damagum, to oversee the affairs of the party in acting capacity pending the outcome of the litigation against Ayu.

National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Debo Ologunagba, made the announcement at a press conference on Tuesday, at the party’s secretariat.

Ayu, who’s been walking a tightrope since the conclusion of the party’s presidential primary that saw Alhaji Atiku Abubakar clinched the ticket last year, was suspended on Sunday by his ward in Gboko, Benue state.
