Governor Matawalle loses Guber Election To Lawal

THE Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced Dauda Lawal of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as the governor-elect of Zamfara State.

Lawal polled a total of 377,726 votes to defeat Bello Matawalle of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who scored 311,976.

He was announced as the winner in Gusau, the state capital in the early hours of Tuesday.
