African Democratic Congress, ADC, has expelled its gubernatorial candidate in Jigawa State, Muhammad Sani Gumel over alleged anti-party activities.
Acting chairman of the party in Jigawa State, Kabiru Hussaini stated this while briefing newsmen in Dutse, the state capital.
He said the gubernatorial candidate was expelled for selling the party to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Kabiru Hussaini urged all the party members to support the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mustapha Sule Lamido.
“We are directing all our Party’s supporters to support the PDP gubernatorial candidate because it’s only PDP that can salvage the state from total collapse,” he said.
The ADC gubernatorial candidate Muhammad Sani Gumel had relinquished his candidature and shifted his support to APC.
While reacting, the ADC gubernatorial candidate Muhammad Sani Gumel said the embattled acting chairman has no right to expel him from the party.
He said the acting chairman was expelled from the party by the National headquarters on 22 September, 2022 and is not recognized by the INEC, IPAC, and security agencies.
