VOICE AIR MEDIA News Update

THE Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Oweye has donated 300KVA electricity transformers to Odi-olowo and Oke-Aga community in Ilesa East Local Government.

The other communities to benefit after that of Odi-olowo and Oke-Aga are Oke Aanu, Bolorunduro, Ilerin, Ilo Olomo, Fasoro Eid and Ido Ijesa.

The communities had been witnessing epileptic power supply due to bad electricity transformers since 2007.

Owoeye while donating the transformers held that the gesture to gift the transformers to communities has no political undertone as the benefiting communities has people of various political parties, saying he will not relent in making people live life more abundantly as long as he is alive.

He asked residents of the communities to go out enmasse on Saturday and vote for all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for such dividends of democracy to go round the communities.

The Speaker said, “I want you to go out and vote, do not be afraid, the temporary government in power in the state can’t continue with the intimidation of our party members not to vote like they did during the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

“Let me seize this opportunity to inform you that a vote for Owoeye is a vote for Ijesaland, a vote for experience because the only thing that we have in the State is the Speakership position, a vote against Owoeye is a vote against this highly revered position”.

Earlier in the address one of the leaders of the communities, Mr. Ademokoya Lawrence appreciated the effort of the Speaker for his kind assistance on the electric poles, wire and the transformers.

“God Almighty will give long life and prosperity, this gesture will not be forgotten in the history of Oke-Aga. Continue to ride on, you will win this race, many will learn from your behavior and your experience”.
