Voice Air Media News Update

THE former NANS President, Comr. Sunday Asefon has condemned former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on his inciting, self service and provocative letter on the just concluded general election.

Asefon expressed his disappointment and anger that a former president could throw around unverified information

According to him, “Obasanjo is a former President of this country and as an elder statesman, such a “Provocative letter” should not come from him, but it is quite unfortunate that he has being taking sides with a particular political party.

“If he is aggrieved because his third term ambition to rule this country could not be achieved, he should find better ways to express that and not berating INEC by writing provocative letter to the president.”

Asefon said the Former President Obasanjo “organised the worst election when the country returned to Democratic rule in 1999, when he was handling over to the Late President Yar’dua, and evidences confirmed that the election was not free and fair”

“Obasanjo is the father of electoral discrepancies and he has breached the trust we have in democracy, hence he cannot be addressing Nigerians, stop claiming to be a saint”

Asefon affirmed that, the just concluded general election is the most peaceful, transparency void of intimidation, free and fair that has been conducted in the country so far.
