3 days to presidential poll: Google Trends releases most searched candidate

Three days to Nigeria’s presidential election, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the APC has extended lead as the most searched candidate on Google Trends.

 

 

 

Four dominant presidential candidates among the lots are vying for this weekend’s presidential poll. They are Asiwaju Bola Tinubu (APC), Atiku Abubakar (PDP), Peter Obi (LP) and Rabiu Kwankwaso (NNPP). There are other candidates, but they stand no chance at all in the coming election.

 

 

 

The nation goes into a presidential election on 25 February, 2023 and many of the presidential candidates have been trending with Nigerians and others searching for interesting things about them.

 

 

 

The latest Google search interest on Google Trends has been captured between January 22, 2023 and February 18, 2023.

 

 

 

In the latest ranking, Tinubu of the APC extended the lead as the most searched presidential candidate, with 45 percent up from the 40 percent he polled last month.

 

 

 

The LP’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi came second with 29 percent search interest on google. It is a bit setback for Obi as he polled 30 percent last month.

 

 

 

 

Atiku Abubakar of the PDP is the third most searched presidential candidate on google. He polled 23 percent. This represents a drop in search compared to the 26 percent he polled last month.

 

 

 

Rabiu Kwankwaso is the fourth most searched presidential candidate, with just three percent. This also represents a drop from the four percent he polled last month.

Tinubu is being searched most according to ranking in areas such as Jigawa, Gombe, Sokoto, Bauchi, Osun, Kano, Ondo, Akwa Ibom, Nasarawa, Oyo Katsina, Republic of Niger, Bayelsa, Taraba, Cross River, Benue, Ogun, FCT, Kebbi, Adamawa, Ekiti, Edo, Kogi, Rivers, Delta, among others.

 

 

 

Obi is being searched most according to ranking in areas such as Taraba, Ebonyi, Cross River, Anambra, Enugu, Adamawa, Benue, Imo, Delta, Abia, Rivers, Republic of Niger, Plateau, Kogi, FCT, Bayelsa, Kaduna, Nasarawa, Borno, Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Ogun, Sokoto, Ondo, among others.

 

 

 

Atiku is being searched most according to ranking in areas such as Adamawa, Zamfara, Gombe, Kebbi, Sokoto, Jigawa, Bauchi, Kaduna, Kano, Yobe, Benue, Niger Republic, Kaduna, Plateau, FCT, Cross River, Borno, Kogi, Nasarawa, Bayelsa, Ondo, Lagos, Osun, Taraba, among others.

 

 

 

Kwankwaso is being searched most according to ranking in areas such as Jigawa, Kano, Katsina, Bayelsa, Bauchi, Adamawa, Ebonyi, Kaduna, Plateau, Kwara, FCT, Nasarawa, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Delta, Lagos, Enugu, Edo, Ogun, among others. CONTINUE READING……………………………….
