There have been protests across parts of the country since the federal government’s redesign of N200, N500, and N1000 notes led to the scarcity of naira in the country.

Pandemonium broke out in some parts of Ogun communities on Friday as angry youths protested the lingering new naira policy and fuel scarcity.

VOICE AIR MEDIA News learnt protesters barricaded the Mowe end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and turned back motorists and travellers.

Potest had erupted in the Ketu/Mile 12 areas of Lagos State causing serious traffic along the Ikorodu expressway, but the police said the situation is under control.

Meanwhile, protest also broken out in the Diobu and Mile 1 areas of Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

According to the report, banks are being set on fire with people are out on the roads protesting the new naira redesign.

The pictures show banks being set on fire by angry protesters while men are marching on the streets of the state protesting.

Residents living in that area have been advised to stay indoors due to gun shots being heard.
