Valentine’s Day: Gov Adeleke To Attend Osun Love Feast

All public servants in Osun state will tomorrow be hosted to a love feast galore as the state marks the annual St Valentine Day Celebrations in grand style.

The first to be organized by the administration of Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, the love feasts, according to a statement made available to newsmen by Mr . K. N Akintola ,on behalf of the state Head of Service, Mr Ayanleye Aina who is also the Chief Host of the programme, Governor of Osun state, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke will lead an array of who is who in the state to the occasion in his capacity as the Father of Love in Osun state.

According to the statement, the state Head of Service , Mr Ayanleye Aina, will lead both senior and junior cadres of the state civil service to usher in governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke to the love Arena located at the White House Car Park, Office of the governor, state secretariat.

One of the highlights of the valentine day program which holds in the morning will be an opportunity for any of the best dressed male and female public servants to smile home with fabulous prizes,courtesy of the Osun state government.

Other features of the love feasts according to the press statement are dancing competitions, ludo game,table tennis, Draft, and the traditional Ayo Olopon game among others which will also enable winners to smile home with different gifts as a way of marking the St Valentine’s Day programme in Osun state tomorrow.

To this end, the state Head of Service, Mr Ayanleye Aina has directed that all Accounting Officers of Ministries, Departments and Agencies of government and Heads of Non Ministerial Agencies, Directors General , Executive Secretaries and General Managers as well as all Heads of Local Governments and Local Council Development Authorities throughout the state to lead their staffers to the venue of the love feasts.

In the meantime, a cross section of public servants who spoke on condition of anonymity regarding tomorrows Valentine Day Celebration being annually marked on the 14th day February have commended Osun state government for the thinking and wisdom behind the exchange of love which usually climax the day on the occasion as both senior and junior public servants see it as an opportunity to extend love to one another ,adding that it has brought more love and mutual coexistence between the Osun state workforce.

They expressed their readiness and desire not only to be part of the love feasts tomorrow but to make sure that they smile home with one or two prizes that will be doled out to the different winners of the different competitions at the end of the day.
