Loaded Tanker Explodes In Ondo

A fully loaded petrol tanker discharging fuel at Optimal Petrol station, along Awhile road, back of Ilesa garage, Akure in Ondo State has been gut by fire.

The tanker exploded and the filling station went up in flames causing residents to panic as property worth millions of naira destroyed.

One resident in the neighbourhood said the explosion was caused by excessive pressure.

According to report, no live was lost.

Men from the Federal Fire Service and Ondo State Fire Service arrived and quickly put out the fire.

It was gathered the owner just purchased the tanker, which was on its first trip to discharge.
