2023: Oyo people ready to receive Tinubu for Tuesday’s campaign rally

Dr Isiaka Kolawole, Director-General of the APC Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council in Oyo, has stated that the people of the state are ready and eagerly awaiting the arrival of the party’s candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and other chieftains for the campaign rally scheduled for Tuesday.

Tinubu, his running mate, Kashim Shettima; APC National Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu; South-West APC Governors and PCC members are expected in Ibadan on Tuesday for the Oyo leg of the APC campaign rally.

Speaking to journalists on the preparation for the campaign, Dr. Kolawole said the people of Oyo State are eager to receive Tinubu, just as the council was fully prepared for the presidential rally.

He also assured the people that adequate security arrangement has been put in place.

According to him, the council would not take anything for granted in terms of security, considering the porousity of the state security.

“Effort is in top gear to give Tinubu a rousing welcome in Oyo State. I can assure you that everything is set and all the critical stakeholders were carried along.

“I think everybody is set from leaders, campaign council, members and general populace. We are fully prepared.

“We are not taking anything for granted, because we are all indigenes of this state. We won’t allow anyone to hold us to ransom,” he said.

Kolawole said that they have interacted with security agencies, adding they were on the alert and up to the task.

On the party’s unity, he said that reconciliation of aggrieved members was still ongoing, adding a good number of the critical stakeholders who meant well were already with them.

Kolawole said that Tinubu would win more than 90 per cent of votes in the state, assuring that Folarin would be elected as the Governor of the state in March. CONTINUE READING………………………..
